Police in the Northern Region has picked up one person in connection with the attempted rape and murder in Tamale last week.
According to the police, information from their sources led to the arrest of a suspect Tahiru Mohammed, a 35-year-old.
The suspect who resides at Agric Traffic Lights is said to have murdered Abdul-Halim.

The Northern Regional Crime Officer Supretentant Kwabena Otuo Acheampong who confirmed the arrest said the rape victim at an identification parade identified Mr Mohammed as the one who shot her.
He said the suspect is in police custody assisting in further investigation.
