According to various reports in Netherlands, Ghana striker Kudus Mohammed has signed a five-year contract with Ajax in a deal set to have cost 9 million euros - an amount that could increase slightly due to bonuses.
The deal is expected to be confirmed shortly but with the arrival of Kudus; who has played in Denmark since 2018 and is now regarded as the one of the best talents in the Danish Superliga; Ajax coach Erik ten Hag has received his second offensive reinforcement after Antony.
Initially, Ajax tried to buy the Ghanaian for a cheaper fee but competition from Everton, Liverpool, Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund, Borussia Mönchengladbach and others raised the price tag to 9 million euros.
The Right to Dream graduate made his debut with Nordsjaelland in 2018 and went on to play 56 more official matches. Out of which he scored 14 goals.
The buy suggests that Kudus will be trying to fill the boots of the departed Ziyech. Joy Sports' Owuraku Ampofo breaks down the strengths and weaknesses of Kudus and how he can improve this Ajax side in the video below.
