The National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party has announced the party's plans for the agricultural sector should the Party's mandate be renewed in the December polls.
Speaking today at the party's manifesto launch, Mr Sammy Awuku stated that as part of the party's plans to ensure the consumption of locally grown foods, several schemes and policies have been designed to meet the needs of the sector.
"Our farmers feed this country and we are committed to supporting them. At the end of our next term, with your support and vote, we will see a greater self-reliance in this country where we produce and eat locally and take pride nationally in having made most of what God gave us," he stated.
He went on to encourage workers within the agriculture sector:
"When our farmers grow, the country grows when we plant seeds, we will reap jobs and the country grows in the process."
