The President also announces that 73% of Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) beneficiaries have been enrolled on the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) for free.
He said 5,522 persons under LEAP have been linked to other support and productive programmes to "help them out of extreme poverty".
The social welfare intervention projects, as tweeted by President Akufo-Addo also include disbursement of 80% of Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) loans to female applicants.

The reason, according to him, is because women business owners are the backbone of the economy.
