The Multimedia Group will feature massively at the 2019 Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Awards slated for Saturday, October 24.
In all, 11 journalists and four brands in the group; JoyNews, Asempa FM, Adom, and Nhyira FM will be honoured.
The practitioners to be honoured from the group are Emefa Apawu, Albert Sore, Komla Adom, Sampson Lardy Ayenini, Nancy Emefa Dzradosi, Prince Appiah all of JoyNews, David Andoh of Myjoyonline.com and Kojo Aborampa, Samuel Alfred Amoh, Efia Amankwah Tamakloe and Kwame Anum of Adom TV.

These are out of 625 and 75 hard and online entries received by the GJA Secretariat respectively for competitive and non-competitive awards.
The journalists will receive their awards at the ceremony, which would climax the 25th edition of the awards scheme, at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra.
Announcing the list of awardees Monday, Chairperson of the awards committee, Betty Appau-Oppong maintained that this year’s edition was to ‘identify journalists who had distinguished themselves in their various fields of practice in 2019 as well as those who were outstanding this year (2020) in reporting on the coronavirus pandemic.'
This year’s ceremony is on the theme ‘Covid-19 and a credible Presidential and Parliamentary Elections’.
Speaking on the sidelines of the short ceremony to announce the winners, President of GJA, Roland Affail Monney, congratulated the nominees and urged those who submitted stories but were not short-listed to work hard to be able to win next year.
