Cardi B has called off her divorce from Offset. Two months after filing for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences,” the “WAP” rapper requested that the filings be dismissed in Atlanta on Monday.
According to TMZ, Cardi requested to dismiss the filings “without prejudice,” meaning she can still legally file for divorce from Offset again in the future, should she choose to do so. The request will now be signed off by a judge to make it official.
The news arrives after a public reconciliation between Cardi and Offset, which followed weeks of presents and social media pining from the Migos rapper.
Offset gifted his wife a $330,000 Rolls-Royce for her 28th birthday last month and is rumored to have been behind the huge birthday billboard that showed a picture of their daughter, Kulture.
Fan speculation about Cardi and Offset’s on-again-off-again relationship prompted the Grammy winner to delete her Twitter last month. On Instagram Live, Cardi called her fans “weird” for trying to “control” her.
“Trying to control my life is not constructive criticism,” she said at the time. “That sh*t is crazy and weird. A whole bunch of 15-year-olds trying to tell me how to live my life, like I’m motherfu*king Ariana Grande or something — like I came from Disney or something.”
“I try my best to give y’all the best music,” she added. “The best to give y’all great content. But when it comes to my personal life and harassing my friends and family, y’all is out of control. The sad sh*t about it is it’s coming from my own fu*king fanbase. That sh*t is crazy to me. Y’all is driving me nuts. That’s what’s going on.”
Cardi confirmed she and Offset were back together after her birthday, saying she missed talking to her “best friend.” The pair tied the knot back in 2017.
