Rapper Sarkodie is hoping Ghanaians vote for President Akufo-Addo to stay in power for a second term.
He endorsed a reelection of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer in his new song Happy Day which features Kuami Eugene.
Sarkodie commended the NPP government for its Free SHS policy and ensuring that Dumsor has remained a thing of the past.
"If I talked complained about ‘Dumsor’ and I also hit on inflation but today if there is electricity and my kids will go to school free, then Nana ‘toaso’ (Nana continue)."
Sarkodie donned a blue shirt and white trousers matching the colours of the NPP.
The climax of the song had one of the famous slogans of the Elephant party – The Battle is still the Lords.
Sarkodie is not the only celebrity endorsing a political party ahead of the elections.
Dancehall artiste Samini has also revealed he will vote for President Akufo-Addo to retain power in 2021.
Samini in a Twitter post wrote he was choosing to vote for a leader he believes has a “hopeful” future for the country.
Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale on numerous occasions has praised the work government has done in its four in power.
He follows his praise with a call for Ghanaians to retain President Akufo-Addo so he could continue his works.
Gospel Singer Empress Gifty has also been seen campaigning for the NPP alongside her husband, Hopeson Adorye, NPP parliamentary candidate for Kpong Katamanso.
Rex Omar and MzBel have also been vocal about their support for the opposition party NDC.
