A number of passengers have been rushed to St Patrick Hospital in Offinso after two vehicles collided at Denase near Kodie in the Ashanti Region.
A Durango car registered GE 9300 Y was reportedly driven by a lady who allegedly received a phone call during which the vehicle veered off its lane and collided with a sprinter registered number AS 8472 -13.
The accident which occurred around 11:30 am on Sunday resulted in approximately 3 hours of vehicular traffic on the Kumasi-Techiman road.

The Sprinter bus was heading towards Kumasi while Durango, towards the Offinso side of the road.
Eyewitnesses who spoke to JoyNews say the driver of the Durango car accidentally veered off her lane and collided with the sprinter.
Residents say it could have been more deadly if the driver was speeding.

At the time of the news crew's visit, the sprinter car had been towed to allow free vehicular movement.
However, the Durango car is still at the scene but both passengers have been reportedly sent to the hospital for medical attention.
Residents fear what they say is an increasingly reckless driving seen on the road in recent times.
They want Ashanti region MTTD to increase their visibility on the stretch.
