Dancehall artiste Samini is not taking his support for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the 2020 general elections lightly.
Aside from singing the party’s praises on social media, the 'Sweet Mistake' hitmaker has joined the party on its campaign trail.
He was spotted at one of NPP's campaign events in Dansoman in the Greater Accra Region performing to electorates.
He performed 'Kpoyaka' the campaign song he wrote to endorse the party's manifesto promises.
The party had gone to the constituency to also unveil a statue for the late Theresa Amerley Tagoe who was a member of the party and the MP for the Member of Parliament of the Ablekuma South Constituency.
Samini who had previously condemned celebrities for openly endorsing political parties threw his weight behind the NPP in early November 2020.
He received mixed reactions when he declared his support for the party barely a month to the election.
“These are challenging times for the world. My Voice, My Vote will support Leadership that has empathy and serves to create a hopeful future for the next generation,” he wrote on Twitter.
