Member of Parliament for Madina Constituency, Mr. Francis Xavier Sosu has urged the assembly members of the constituency to put aside their political colours and work as a team for the development of the constituency.

He stated that the overall development for the community knows no political colours, as such, being divided along political lines would work against the urgent need of infrastructural development in the Constituency.

He made this statement at a programme organised by the Municipal Assembly to introduce the newly elected Member of Parliament to the assembly members.

He promised to work with every member of the assembly as well as leaders of the various communities to ensure that the constituency enjoyed holistic development.

“I have committed myself to be a servant leader of the people of Madina and I intend to keep that promise,” he said.

He had also observed a number of challenges in the community with sanitation, drainage and access to roads that need to be addressed in the constituency, which could only be achieved with a concerted effort, togetherness and unity of purpose.

He emphasized that his duty as MP will only be successful with the support of each and every member of the assembly. With the support of the assembly, he hopes "to lobby at the central government level to get the developmental goals needed to be achieved”.

He promised not to play partisanship politics, “election is over, now we must all work together to ensure that our leaders provide us with the needed support and development, that is what I stand for”.

Mr Sosu pledged to fulfil his vows to the good people of the country by living up to expectation without political coloration when it comes to development of the constituency.

He urged the assembly to work together as a team regardless of their political affiliations.
