The KpareKpare community on Friday, March 26 suffered a rare storm that was accompanied by strong winds.
The late evening downpour on Friday ravaged property and caused extensive damage to property. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
Power supply to the community was affected, plunging the whole township into darkness, trees and buildings were not spared in the late evening rain.
The community also suffered from a rare storm, which was accompanied by winds that ravaged property.
A Headteacher, Mr Mawuli Ketor who narrated the unfortunate incident to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) revealed that the KpareKpare Junior High School structure pavilion raised by Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) and the primary block had their roofs ripped off.
Many houses were affected and inhabitants had to run for safety.
Mr Moses Tia, a farmer, as well as other individuals whose houses were pulled down following the storm, appealed to the government and NGOs for assistance.
The Krachi East Municipal Director of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Mr Jacob Desiavor in an interview said they would visit the community on Monday to take the necessary records.
The Director appealed to residents, who were not affected by the rainstorm to help host the victims.
