The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a series of planned maintenance exercises across the Tema, Ashanti, Accra West, Central, and Eastern regions for Wednesday, July 22, as part of ongoing efforts to improve service delivery, while engineers in the Accra West and Tema regions work to resolve network faults.
In the Tema Region, planned maintenance will affect Sydal Farms, Community 24, Japan City, Teteman, Global, Addo Kope, Kasseh, Big Ada, Ada Foah, Totope, Treasure Island, Aqua Safari, and surrounding areas on Wednesday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Meanwhile, customers in the Tema Region continue to experience unplanned outages due to a network fault. Affected areas include TT Brothers, Zonda Trucks, Macbaron Charlets, PFC, European Market, Movelle, Asaswa, Kaas, Afko Fisheries, Ocean Fare, We Two Sea, Fishing Harbour, Main Harbour, GPHA Headquarters, FDA, Black Star Line Building, Agrona, Dry Dock, Sahara, Nyame Na Onim, GAFCo, Buade, Iron Bar, GCB Training School, Adogonno, Ravico, Watch Tower, Junction Mall, Alton Hotel, Regimanuel Estates, Queensland International School, and surrounding areas.
In the Ashanti Region, multiple outages are scheduled for Wednesday. Affected areas include Tabre, Sepaase, Maakro, Besease, Topman farms, Abrafo Kokoben, Koforidua, Ntensere, Manhyia, Abuakwa, Akyeremade, Old Tafo, New Road Junction, Bonwire, Amanpe, Adanwomase, Baman, Kumaca, Asokore Mampong, Royal Foam Factory, CCC, Asokore Mampong Municipal, Mamponteng, Dwumanafo, Aboaso, Hemang, Ankaase Hospital, Mpobi, Ejuratia, Kona, Asonomaso, parts of Agona, Kwapia, Wiaso, Watchman, Emena, Boadi, Apemso, Appiadu, Donyina, Deduako, Master Nkwanta, Mensoso, Grumesa, Nkransa, Mprekyere, Nsuta, Akutreso, Brekete, Abu, Ackwa-Atwereboana, and surrounding areas
In the Accra West Region, planned maintenance will affect Mama's Inn, Sahara, Bishop Deli School, King Solomon, NIC, Agape, St. Clare, Police Training School, Tesano, and surrounding areas on Wednesday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Customers in the Accra West Region are also experiencing unplanned outages due to a transformer fault at Gbawe Top Base. Affected areas include Lesson Villa, Bodoo, Ophelia Nyantechi, Shawamah, High Tension, and surrounding areas.
In the Central Region, planned maintenance will affect Bontroase, Ojobi, Senya township, Bonsuoku, Anopasu, Breku, Fetteh township, and surrounding areas from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
In the Eastern Region, planned maintenance will affect Asuokaw, Mepom, Asikasu, Owurakesim, and surrounding areas from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, while Old Estate, Paradise, Country Home, Veterinary, Kenke Factory, New Lands Hospital, Daddy's Spot, and surrounding areas will be affected from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
ECG has apologised to customers for the inconvenience and urged those in affected areas to make alternative arrangements and remain patient as the scheduled works are carried out.
