Three People, including a Pregnant Woman and a child are said to be in a critical condition at the Tamale Teaching Hospital in the Northern Region.
This follows an accident on the Tamale -Buipe Highway involving a Salon car with registration Number NR 401-15 and an articulator trailer also with registration number GN 675-10 at Sawaba, a suburb of Central Gonja District in the Savannah Region.

All four occupants, from the Salon car, a Male driver and two women including a Child are said to be in a critical condition at the emergency unit at the same Hospital.

Sources close to JoyNews indicated that the Salon car which was from kintampo in the Bono Region and heading
towards Tamale in the Northern Region burst it front tyre from the driver's side upon reaching Sawaba Number 2 and veered off its lane before and crashing into the trailer.

The salon car is also mangled beyond recognition following the impact of the accident.

The accident happened between 8PM and 9PM on Wednesday night and all 4 victims from the Salon car were first rushed to the Holistic Medicare Hospital at Buipe before being referred to the Tamale Teaching Hospital for tertiary medical attention.

Meanwhile, the two occupants of the Articulator trailer, the driver and his mate who were driving from Nakpansuri in the North East Region going to Kumasi in the Ashanti Region escaped unhurt.

Mr.Robert Kusi is the trailer driver. He said in a telephone interview with JoyNews that, from Nakpanduri "I reached here and the salon car burst its tyre and crashed into us and all the people inside are injured and taken to Buipe Hospital but we are save.

"Only my fuel tank and the driver's step are affected. Now we can't move again unless a mechanic comes to check for us" he said.
