The Management of Real Tamale United Sporting Club Limited (RTU) has expressed surprise at the decision by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to award three points and three goals to Bofoakwa Tano against Unity FC in their Week 22 match at Kenyasi.
According to the club, a similar protest by Bofoakwa FC against Kintampo was adjudicated while the former was left off the hug raising questions of credibility on the part of the Disciplinary Committee.
The club noted that a game of football is won on merit on the field of play, not through protest of boardroom manipulation.

It said even though they are not questing the decision of the GFA they feel hurt and stabbed in the back considering the timing.
Bofoakwa Tano filed a protest against Unity FC for allowing an official who had been banned for five years to sit on its bench during their week 22 match in Kenyasi in May.
The disciplinary committee announced its verdict Tuesday which did not sit well with RTU.
Addressing a press conference in Tamale, the General Secretary of RTU Alhaji George Mutawakilu wondered why the GFA had to wait until this time when RTU is recovery from attacks on its supporters following their match in Sunyani to announce its decision.

He urged the GFA to wade into the decision by the Disciplinary Committee on the Bofoakwa and Unity FC match and give convincing reasons on the decision in order to forestall sanity before things get out of hand.
The Secretary called on the GFA to create another zone for the five regions of the North by decoupling the teams from the Brong Ahafo Zone, adding it is the only way to ensure tranquillity, and fairness
He described as falsehood allegations that Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia had tasked the Kurt-led GFA to get RTU back to the premiership, played a role in the victory of RTU last match.
“This is superfluous, palpable falsehood and absolute nonsense which cannot hold water. Those having this view are being diversionary and evasive of the truth," Alhaji Mutawakilu stated.
