Seven more persons have succumbed to coronavirus according to the Ghana Health Service (GHS).
The recent deaths bring the country's death toll to 899 as of August 8.
In 24 hours, a total of 6,545 active cases have been reported across the country. Also, 406 new cases have been recorded.
Out of the total active cases, 36 are critical whereas 87 affected individuals are in severe condition.

So far, the country has confirmed 109,428 Covid-19 cases. But 101,984 people who tested positive have recovered, hence have been discharged.
The Ghana Health Service has blamed the new delta variant for the country's third wave of the virus.
Meanwhile, information reaching JoyNews reveals that the Service will on Friday, August 13, begin giving out 177,600 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine from the African Vaccine Acquisition Trust (AVAT) initiative in the Greater Accra Region.
