As part of efforts by the NPP in the Techiman North Constituency to reorganize for the next election cycle, the party held its delegates conference under strict Covid-19 protocols in Aworowa.
The purpose of the conference was to reflect on the performance of the party in the December polls and the way forward in terms of recapturing the lost seat.
District Chief Executive for the area, Mr. Peter Mensah called on members of the party to remain united in their quest to win the 2024 Parliamentary elections.
"We have to revisit our books and identify the causes of our downfall in the December elections as a Constituency and restrategize by coming together as one if we really want to win back this seat," he said.
Again, he again assured the party of his loyalty and support as the District Chief Executive and added that he remains committed to the success of the party even if not reappointed by President Akufo-Addo as the DCE.
"If the President decides that I continue as his representative in the District, I'll wholeheartedly accept the call and serve the people. However, if he appoints another person to take over the role as the DCE, I assure you that I am committed to throwing my full support behind the appointee so we work together to recapture the lost seat from the NDC," he noted.
He again called on his sympathizers and well wishers within the party to let go of their differences and embrace unity as the party works towards the next elections.
The leadership of the party provided a comprehensive account and general status of the party.
Also present at the conference was the former Member of Parliament for the constituency and National Chairman hopeful Prof. Christopher Ameyaw Akumfi, former Deputy Regional Minister and MP Hon. Martin Oti Gyarko, Regional party representatives, Constituency Executives, Electoral Area Coordinators amongst others.
