Statistics provided by the Ghana Health Service (GHS) reveals that four more lives have been lost to the Covid-19 pandemic.
As of October 11, the Service recorded 1,165 deaths, however, in its latest update, the country's death toll has risen to 1,169. The recent casualties were recorded within four days.
On its website, the GHS noted that a total of 2,338 active cases have been recorded and 111 out the total figure are said to be severe cases.
About 41 individuals who contracted the virus are in critical condition.
Despite the worrying figures, data shows active cases in the country have declined.

As of October 15, about 58 new cases were recorded. Aside from the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) with two new cases, four out of the 16 regions in the country recorded new cases this time around.
They are the Greater Accra, Bono East, North East and Eastern regions.
These additional cases bring the total confirmed Covid-19 cases to 129,592.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Health Service has so far discharged 126,085 people who recovered from the virus.
