Statistics from the Ghana Health Service (GHS) reveals that about 40 individuals who have fallen prey to the Covid-19 pandemic are in severe condition.
In its latest update, the Service disclosed that some 13 others are in a critical state.
Per the data provided by GHS on its website, one more life has been lost to the coronavirus disease. This brings the country's death toll to 1,175.
As of October 24, the country has recorded a total of 1,781 active cases. All 16 regions in the country are battling with active cases.

A total of 36 new cases have also been recorded in some four regions in the country. The four are Greater Accra, Central, Western and Ashanti regions.
Cumulatively, the country has confirmed 130,077 Covid-19 cases since the emergence of the pandemic in March last year.
Meanwhile, 127,121 individuals who have recovered from the virus have been discharged from the various health facilities.
