The Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Godfred Yeboah Dame, is expected to appear before Parliament on Thursday morning.
His appearance has been necessitated by the Ghana Legal Council's refusal to deny some 499 students admission into the Ghana Law School even though they obtained the pass mark.
Therefore, the legislative arm of government has summoned the Justice Minister to provide answers and explain the rationale behind Ghana Legal Council (GLC)'s decision to deny the said students.
Meanwhile, the Minority in Parliament has filed a motion seeking the removal of Mr Dame for refusing to facilitate the admission of the 499 students into the Ghana School of Law despite Parliament's order.
Last week, the NDC Parliamentarians accused the Attorney General of undermining and disrespecting the House, thus, asked the Speaker of Parliament to trigger the necessary processes for the House to pass a vote of censure against the President's legal advisor.
However, in a letter dated November 1, the Attorney-General asked the GLC to admit the 499 students denied entry into the Ghana School of Law.
In the correspondence, Mr Dame suggested that the students be admitted in November or in May 2022.
