The MP for Ningo-Prampram, Sam Nartey George, has backed Speaker Alban Bagbin's directive to refuse persons without proof of Covid-19 vaccination entry into Parliament.
In a tweet on Wednesday, Mr Nartey George noted that the Speaker's decision is based on sound scientific evidence.
Therefore, "I support the Speaker's vaccine mandate for Parliament. If you want to work or engage Parliament, get vaccinated."

According to the "Dzata" MP, he has received his Covid-19 vaccine booster shot. The Ghana Health Service (GHS) says Ghanaians can receive booster shots three to six months after being fully vaccinated.
The mandatory vaccination policy according to the Ministry of Health will enhance the country’s fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. For that reason, the Speaker's directive.
Speaking on the floor of the House, Speaker Alban Bagbin said, “Medical experts have strongly recommended that even after taking two shots of the vaccine, one will require a booster shot to provide an extra layer of protection against the virus…I want at this stage to state that this booster vaccination is compulsory for everyone working within the precincts of Parliament.
“Henceforth, members, staff and ancillary staff will be required to show proof of vaccination before being allowed into any office within the precincts of Parliament.”
