Speaker of Parliament has commiserated with President Yoweri Museveni over the loss of the Ugandan Speaker, Jacob Oulanyah.
Alban Sumana Bagbin in a statement on Tuesday also expressed his condolences to the family of the late Speaker.
Mr Oulanyah died on Sunday in the United States of America where he was receiving medical attention.
Following the sad incident, Speaker Bagbin urged the entire citizens of Uganda to stay strong in these difficult times.
He has also assured the Ugandan Parliament of Ghana’s continuous support and collaboration.
“Speaker Bagbin further prays for God’s mercies for President Museveni, citizens of Uganda, and the family of the late Speaker throughout this period of mourning,” part of the release read.
Following the news of the demise of Uganda’s Speaker, tributes have poured in from far and near.
Mr Oulanyah, 56, had held the speaker’s position for about 10 months.
