The National Lottery Authority is promising to support developments in the various sectors of the economy.
This is coming after it partnered the Kokroko Charities to donate an incubator to the Tetteh Quarshie Hospital at Mampong Akuapem, in the Eastern region.
Speaking to the media, Director General for the National Lottery Authority, Sammy Awuku, said the NLA will as part of its mandate embark on good courses to extend it hand of generosity to Ghanaians.
"We were approached by the Kokroko Charities headed by Kwamen Sefa Kayi. And the NLA too is mandated by an act to embark on good courses to be assisting the poor, destitute and the physically and mentally afflicted.”
“We are proud to be associated by this event. The NLA is still assisting other organisations, we are looking forward to go to the prisons this Easter”, he said.
Founder of the Kokroko Charities Foundation, Kwame Sefa Kayi, in a brief remark at the ceremony expressed his gratitude to the NLA for the immense support.
He added that efforts are being made to provide more incubators for hospitals across the country.
Mr. Kayi said his outfit expects the incubators to be taken good care of to save the lives of many premature babies.
"We will say a very big thank you to the National Lottery Authority. We hit 45 today. I guess when we look at the value of this, it's energizes us to continue. It is not how much it cost but the value is what we are looking at”, he said.
The Kokroko Charities Foundation earlier last year held the first draw for its 100 incubators Project through the ‘Drive Save A Life Campaign.’
Through the campaign, the Foundation is seeking to raise funds to purchase some more Incubators for hospitals in Ghana.
