Asante Kotoko SC have officially parted ways with their Head Coach, Dr. Prosper Ogum Narteh, after the gaffer submitted his resignation letter to the management.
The Technical Committee of Asante Kotoko Board, the Management and the coach held a crunch meeting in Accra on Monday to resolve the impasse between management and the coach.
Dr. Ogum Narteh insisted on leaving Kotoko and thus, handed in his resignation letter which was accepted by the Management and the Board at the meeting.
It was however agreed Dr. Ogum Narteh will be paid his two-month outstanding salary instead of the three months he was initially expecting.
LUV Sports checks indicate Ogum’s official appointment letter took effect on October 1, 2021 but was promised a September salary by the Management when he started working with the reds on September 18, 2021.
The UCC lecturer will also be paid bonuses and entitlements after steering the Porcupine Warriors to their first league trophy in 8 years.
Kotoko have commenced preparation for the 2022/23 football season with Abdulai Gazale leading the players in training.
A new substantive head coach of Kotoko is expected to be announced in the coming days.
