Former Ajax star, Theo Janssen, has slammed manager Alfred Schreuder's decision of not starting Mohammed Kudus so far in the league this season.
Kudus, after a successful pre-season with Ajax, was looking forward to continuing his form prior to the start of the campaign. However, the Ghanaian has been limited to three substitute appearances averaging 10 minutes per game, a decision that has left Janssen fuming.
According to the Ajax legend, the former Nordsjaelland star deserves more playing time than the 38 minutes he has played so far as he believes Kudus is a better player as a no. 10 than Dusan Tadic, who has been Schreuder's pick in that role.
“They have to find a place because the important players have to keep playing," Janssen told VTBL in an interview.
“I think Kudus is a much better player than Tadic in the long run at the No 10 position. I would already be playing Kudus by now.
“Against PSV and in the Champions League, you can’t be playing Tadic at No 10. I’m convinced of that.”
Kudus has been heavily linked with English Premier League side, Everton, but the Ajax manager is keen on keeping the player.
