The balloting of slots for the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) ended a while ago.
The exercise was held after the preliminary stage of the competition ended on Thursday with 39 schools automatically qualifying for the one-eighth stage by virtue of winning their respective contests.
These schools will also be joined by some other 15 best runner-up schools.
Already, some seeded schools have made it to the one-eight stage based on their performance in last year's contest.
Proceedings for this year's one-eight stage will begin on Saturday, October 15.
Some of the expected tough contests include; Prempeh College contesting with St. Thomas Aquinas and Ofori Panyin SHS while Augustine’s College will come up against Tamale Islamic Science SHS and Achimota School.
