A cargo truck loaded with scraps affected traffic flow on the Achimota-Accra road after falling on its side due to burst tyres.
The incident occurred on Thursday, December 15 around 3:00pm.
The truck was on its way to Tema from Kumasi when the accident occurred.

According to an eyewitness, the vehicle overturned while attempting to negotiate a curve. In the process, two of its tyres burst, causing the vehicle to fall on one side.

This affected the flow of traffic as the vehicle and its scattered content blocked the road.

Police personnel arrived at the scene to ease the traffic congestion on the road.
An excavator was used to offload the remaining scraps from the overturned vehicle and gathered on one side of the road. The vehicle was subsequently moved off the road.
There were no casualties recorded.
