Black Stars winger Kamaldeen Sulemana has chosen to join Southampton over fellow Premier League outfit Everton.
Both clubs had bids accepted by French Ligue 1 side, Stade Rennais, but he decided in favour of a move to the South Coast club ahead of the Toffees.
The 20-year-old speedster will join on a four-and-a-half-year deal for a reported fee around €25m plus €5m add ons.
Southampton have scheduled medicals to be conducted ahead of the conclusion of the deal before the January transfer window shuts later today.
Southampton want to close a deal quickly, thus the medical is expected to happen in France.
The 20-year-old struggled to get regular game time for the Ligue 1 team after moving from Nordsjaelland to Rennes in 2021. He has only played 33 times and five goals.
