A philanthropist and founder of the Xornametor Foundation, Vincent Kwamitse Kaledzi has tasked government to consider paying more attention to the educational needs of less-known and underprivileged communities in various regions.
Mr. Kaledzi made the comments during an inspection of a building project for the Odormitor D. A. Basic School to help reduce congestion in the classrooms.
He noted that most of these communities are neglected by the authorities, a situation he said needs to be addressed urgently.

He said members of these communities also vote during elections and deserve the best in basic amenities especially health care and education.
Mr. Kaledzi reiterated the need for the government to make sure that education is improved in the less-endowed communities to give equal opportunities for children in such areas to also excel just like their counterparts in privileged communities.
The Xornametor Foundation, he said has over the years provided infrastructural projects, scholarships and other help to such communities since government alone cannot solve all the problems of the people.

He urged organisations and individuals to also come to the aid of deprived communities with the needed help for a better future for the country.
The headmaster of the school, Bright Bedu noted the classrooms are inadequate for the children and due to that challenge coupled with the lack of furniture, some of the school children had to drop out of school.

He has, however, appealed to the government to help complete the abandoned six-unit classroom block to enable effective teaching and learning.
