The senior women's national team, Black Queens, recorded a resounding victory in their first game under new head coach Nora Hauptle over the weekend.
Ghana defeated Benin 3-0 away from on Sunday, February 19, with the German trainer getting off to a flying start with the team.
Princess Owusu, Princella Adubea, and Evelyn Badu were all on the scoresheet for the Black Queens in the friendly game which was played in Cotonou.
Hauptle, who took over for Mercy Tagoe approximately a month ago, has been tasked with bringing the side back to glory days after they lost out on a spot in the Women's World Cup last year after failing to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Meanwhile, Ghana will get ready for their upcoming friendly match against Togo on February 25.
The friendly matches will be used as practise for the WAFU B Cup of Nations in 2023 and as a way to qualify for the 2024 African Women's Cup of Nations.
