Legon Cities handed Hearts of Oak another defeat in the betPawa Ghana Premier League to pile more misery on the Phobians leaving them in a relegation dogfight with two games to go.
Hearts played Cities over the weekend looking to bounce back to winning ways but Kofi Kordzi scored the only goal of the game against his former side meant the Rainbow Club have now lost three consecutive league games.
The Royals should have opened the scoring in the opening 40 minutes of the game but Maxwell Konadu's side failed to take up the opportunities that came their way early in the game.
However, Kordzi punished Hearts just before the first-half break.
Hearts have now lost back-to-back games in the Ghana Premier League, ending any hopes of a top-four finish.
In fact, with two games to go, the Phobians could be battling relegation as they are just five points above the drop zone.
David Ocloo's boys face Real Tamale United and Berekum Chelsea in their last two games of the league season.
