Malta Guinness Ghana Women's Premier League champions, Ampem Darkoa Ladies, will be competing in the WAFU B Women's Champions League qualifiers as they chase a place in the main competition.
The Techiman-based side have been drawn in Group B of the CAF Women’s Champions League Zone B Qualifiers where they will come up against AS Garde Nationale from Niger and Amis du Monde of Togo.
The draw which was conducted on Wednesday night also sees Delta Queens of Nigeria, USFA from Burkina Faso, Athletico of Cote D’Ivoire and Sam Nelly FC from Benin in Group A.
Ampem Darkoa failed to secure a ticket to the main competition last season following their defeat to Nigeria’s Bayelsa Queens n the final of the Wafu Zone B qualifiers last year.
Since Hasaacas Ladies' participation in the first edition of the CAF tournament which saw them finish second, no Ghanaian club has been able to qualify.
Ampem Darkoa once again have an opportunity to leave a mark this time following their triumph over the Hasmal Ladies to win the Ghana Women's Premier League.
