Mohammed Kudus has revealed Black Stars captain Andre Ayew had a role to play in his move to West Ham United.
The 23-year-old sealed and big-money move to the Premier League side and was officially unveiled on Sunday, August 27. signing a five-year deal with the club.
Kudus' move to West Ham makes him the third Ghanaian to play for the East London side after John Paintsil and Andre Ayew who both spent two years at the club between 2006 and 2008, and 2016 and 2018 respectively.
According to the former Ajax man, Ayew influenced his decision to sign for David Moyes' side this summer after ending his stay in the Netherlands.
"Ayew has been speaking highly of West Ham, but John Paintsil is way older so I didn’t get a chance to speak with him!" Kudus said in his first interview after being unveiled.
"Andre is still in the national team and speaks a lot about experiences in most clubs and West Ham is one of the clubs that he speaks highly of."
Ayew scored 12 goals in 50 appearances across all competitions for the Hammers during his time at the club before rejoining Swansea City in January 2018.
