Black Stars head coach, Chris Hughton, has praised the goalkeeping performance so far in his tenure as head coach.
He is of the view that the goalkeeping department has been a heavy contributor in the team’s recent success of qualifying for a 10th successive Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
The Black Stars came from a goal down to beat the central African Republic 2-1 last week to book their spot in the Ivory Coast tournament to be held in January 2024.
"One area, if one of the concerns is we haven’t scored enough goals, certainly one of the pluses is we have not conceded," Hughton said after Ghana's 3-1 win over Liberia in Tuesday's international friendly.
"If we haven’t conceded too many then, that is a big part of what the goalkeeper does. So we work with the quality of keepers that we have and we are very happy to work with them, and they are very much part of any win that we have and any result that we have."
The Black Stars have played five games since Hughton took charge of his first game in March, scoring seven goals and conceding three.
