Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has conveyed his optimism about winning the New Patriotic Party's presidential primaries.
After participating in the voting process, Dr Bawumia commended the party for its well-organized conduct of the exercise.
Speaking to the media, he urged all members of the party to maintain a peaceful atmosphere throughout the entire process.

"So far it is being smooth. So we will wait for the process to complete across the country and we will see what will happen. I’m reasonably confident of victory, but we will wait and see," he told the press.
Already, his campaign team has been highly optimistic about his chances in the contest.
The team believes that Dr Bawumia will secure victory with over 75% of the total valid votes cast.
A member of his communications team, Ellen Ama Daaku, in an interview on Joy FM's Newsfile on Saturday, November 4, emphasised that Dr. Bawumia's loyalty and dedication will be key factors in securing a resounding win.
“Our confidence is coming from the fact that we have visited all 276 constituencies with Dr Bawumia and he has interacted with almost all the over 200,000 delegates. From the conversations we have had with them, we will be surprised if he gets anything below 75%, and our confidence also stems from the fact that Dr Bawumia has been successful within the space of the NPP and has sacrificed a lot of for the party.”
