The New Patriotic Party's (NPP) candidate-elect for the Akuapem North Constituency, Sammy Awuku, has expressed his commitment to work earnestly to bring about development across the constituency if elected in the 2024 general elections.
As the sole candidate during the party's nomination process in the constituency, Mr Awuku secured unanimous endorsement from all party delegates on Saturday, December 2, at the Presbyterian College of Education polling center.
In an interview with Citi News following his endorsement, Mr Awuku interpreted the support as a compelling call to serve.
He extended an invitation to all disheartened supporters and those backing the incumbent MP, urging them to unite for the betterment of the constituency.
Reflecting on the journey that led to this point, the National Lottery Authority boss emphasised the collaborative effort of friends and supporters over the past decade.
He assured the constituents that, regardless of the weather, he would stand by them and collaborate to drive development in areas such as roads, healthcare, water, and electricity.
Calling for the return of those who had previously distanced themselves, Mr Awuku declared his intent to be a representative for all, adding that his service as an elected MP would be dedicated to the entire constituency.
“All those who left come home, let’s work together, I will be a candidate for all the people, and I want to be an MP when elected for all. This is a call to service.”
