Ghana captain, Andre Ayew, scored twice to snatch a point for Le Havre in a 3-3 draw at Lorient in the French Ligue 1 on his return to club football on Sunday.
The second goal was spectacular as the 34-year-old put behind him a disastrous 2023 Africa Cup of Nations campaign that saw Ghana exit at the group stage in a humiliating fashion.
Andre was subbed on in the 70th minute when his team was 2-1 down. He scored a header from a free kick to level the score for Le Havre in the 85th minute.
Lorient took the lead again in the 91st minute through Mohamed Bamba who executed a perfect header.
Andre Ayew then popped up again with a special goal from an overhead kick to win a point for his team in the fourth minute of added to end the game 3-3.
Those were only his first goals for Le Havre in five games after signing for them weeks before the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
