In the wake of successful efforts to provide permanent housing for flood victims in Battor Aveyime, the Construction Ambassadors are stepping forward to offer hope and tangible support to more communities in need.
Thirteen towns across seven districts in the Volta region are set to benefit from the ambitious initiative, aiming to provide safe and secure housing for affected residents.
The Construction Ambassadors, comprising skilled artisans and volunteers dedicated to community development, recently completed a housing project in Battor Aveyime.
This project, aimed at providing long-term shelter for those displaced by flooding, garnered praise for its efficiency and quality. Now, with the momentum of this success behind them, the team is eager to extend their impact to other vulnerable communities in the region.
The districts identified to receive these housing units include Ho West, Ho Central, Adaklu, Kpando, North Tongu, Central Tongu, and Afadzato South. Within these districts, thirteen towns have been earmarked for the construction of permanent housing units, addressing the pressing need for safe dwellings in areas prone to natural disasters such as floods.
Mr Francis Seth Tunu, a member of the Ambassadors Construction team, expressed the group's commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of those affected. He emphasized that the goal is not just to build houses but to create homes where families can thrive, rebuild, and create new beginnings.
"Our experience in Battor Aveyime has shown us the immense impact secure housing can have on individuals and entire communities. We are ready to bring this positive change to thirteen more towns in the Volta region," Mr Tunu stated.

The housing units are designed with durability and functionality in mind, utilizing locally sourced materials and sustainable construction practices. Each unit will feature essential amenities such as access to clean water, electricity, and proper sanitation facilities, ensuring a higher quality of life for residents.
Local authorities have welcomed the initiative, citing the urgent need for permanent housing solutions in these areas, and commended the Construction Ambassadors for their dedication to serving communities in distress.
"This collaborative effort between the Construction Ambassadors and local authorities is a testament to the power of community-driven initiatives. Together, we are working towards not just rebuilding homes but also strengthening the resilience of our communities," remarked a resident.
The project is set to commence in the coming weeks, with teams already on the ground conducting assessments and engaging with community members. The Construction Ambassadors are calling for support from local businesses, organizations, and volunteers to ensure the success of this endeavour.
As the Volta Region prepares to embark on this significant undertaking, there is a renewed sense of hope among residents who have long awaited a solution to their housing challenges.
With the Construction Ambassadors leading the way, these thirteen towns are on the path to a brighter and a more secure future.
