Yara Ghana Limited has unveiled its newest foliar fertilizer called YaraVita CropLift Bio, as part of its commitment to broadening its suite of crop nutrition solutions tailored to meet the evolving needs of local farmers.
With a focus on continuously boosting agricultural productivity and sustainability in Ghana, Yara remains committed to providing innovative solutions to enhance the prosperity of Ghanaian farmers.
Speaking at the mini-launch last  Monday in Ejura in the Ashanti Region, Mr Theophilus Djorbuah, the Commercial Manager for South Ghana, reaffirmed Yara Ghana’s steadfast commitment to enhancing the productivity and profitability of farmers, while championing the production of high-quality food for a nature-positive food future.
He emphasised Yara's dedication to sustainable agriculture and food security, especially in the face of challenges posed by climate change and water scarcity.
Mr Djorbuah elaborated on the YaraVita CropLift Bio, describing it as a foliar fertilizer enriched with vital nutrients such as NPK, secondary elements, and trace elements like Zinc, Boron, and Magnesium.
Engineered to optimise fruit quality and boost crop yields, this innovative product he said offers farmers a versatile solution suitable for a wide range of crops, including maize, rice, sorghum, millet, fruits, vegetables, and tree crops like cocoa.
Underlining the rigorous research and development process behind YaraVita CropLift Bio, the Commercial Manager revealed that the product underwent extensive testing, including collaborative trials with the Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana (CRIG). These trials resulted in certifications endorsing the use of YaraVita CropLift Bio on cocoa, with the aim of enhancing foliage, flowering, and cocoa bean production.
"The demonstration field works conducted in Ghana confirm high-quality yield for various crops when YaraVita CropLift Bio is applied," stated Mr Djorbuah, reflecting on the product's proven efficacy in local agricultural conditions. The product's compatibility with agrochemicals further enhances its ease of use, offering farmers a seamless integration into their existing agricultural practices.
Speaking in an interview with some farmers at the launch, they expressed heartfelt appreciation to Yara Ghana Limited for consistently delivering high-quality products for them which have over the years increased their yields, productivity and income. They also expressed  their optimism that the YaraVita Croplift Bio will also help increase their yield.
Yara Ghana is committed to expanding the accessibility of YaraVita CropLift Bio and advancing efforts to equip farmers with sustainable agricultural solutions. The company remains steadfast in its mission to drive innovation in agriculture and support the nation's journey towards food security and environmental stewardship.
As Yara Ghana sets its sights on a future of sustainable agriculture, the introduction of YaraVita CropLift Bio stands as a testament to the company's commitment to empowering farmers and fostering a nature-positive food future for generations to come.
