Former President John Mahama has presented a 75-horsepower agricultural tractor to NDC members who were involved in a tragic accident at Frante in the Ejura Sekyeredumase municipality, as a gesture of support and solidarity.
The incident occurred during the 2020 election campaign period.
Former Agriculture Minister under the NDC administration, Alhaji Mohammed Limuna Muniru, presented the 75-horsepower tractor unit to the Chief of Frante on behalf of former President Mahama.
The donation aims to support the farming activities and income generation of the accident victims, who have been promised additional support in their recovery and rehabilitation.

Victims of November 21, 2020 accident
On November 21, 2020, a devastating road accident occurred while NDC supporters were en route to a constituency rally in Ejura, resulting in tragic fatalities and severe injuries. Several survivors, including the Branch Chairman, suffered amputations of their limbs, leaving them with life-altering disabilities.
Yakubu Adam, a survivor of the devastating accident, recounts the horrific experience, which resulted in the amputation of his right arm, leaving him with a lifelong scar as a constant reminder of the tragedy.
“It was terrible, but it is better now than before. The NDC party has been supportive over the years and we are grateful,” Yakubu said.
Rashida Forkor, another survivor of the tragic accident, shares her poignant journey of the past four years, reflecting on the challenges she's faced and the outpouring of support she's received, which has helped her navigate the difficult path to recovery and rehabilitation.
She expressed gratitude to the party leadership for consistently providing for her well-being and shelter, citing examples of support from former President Mahama, who donated money, and the MP, who has always responded to their needs whenever called upon.
"Former President Mahama provided financial support when he visited, and our MP has always helped us whenever we needed him," She said.
Akua Alhassan, a victim of the accident, suffered severe injuries, including the loss of her teeth and a fractured right hand, leaving her with lasting physical reminders of the traumatic event.
She's grateful for the party's continued loyalty and support, never leaving them to fend for themselves.

Presentation of the tractor unit
The donation of the tractor unit brings a glimmer of hope and relief to the survivors and families of the deceased, providing a sense of comfort and support.
For Yakubu, Rashida, Akua, other victims and families of the accident, the tractor unit donation is a blessing that will significantly ease their struggles, reducing the physical and financial burdens they've faced, and helping them regain a sense of independence and normalcy.
Former Agriculture Minister, Alhaji Mohammed Limuna Muniru, explained that the tractor unit donation embodies this philosophy, aiming to empower the accident survivors with a sustainable means of livelihood, rather than just providing temporary relief.
Member of Parliament for Ejura Sekyeredumase, Mohammed Braimah Bawa, expressed optimism the donated tractor unit will have a profoundly positive impact on the lives of the accident victims, bringing tangible benefits and improvements to their well-being.
Chief of Frante, Nana Owusu Sekyere Bobo III, commended former President John Mahama for his generous donation of the tractor unit, and encouraged him to continue his benevolent support.
He acknowledged the positive impact it will have on the lives of the accident victims and their families.
