The flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has stated that public data clearly distinguishes the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as the party with a superior record in every sector.
Speaking to community leaders and supporters in Tema during his campaign tour of the Greater Accra Region, Dr. Bawumia said the NPP, under the Akufo-Addo government has over the past seven years, outperformed the previous National Democratic Congress (NDC) government in every sector in terms of development.
He consequently challenged the NDC and former President John Mahama to dispute this claim with data if they believe otherwise.
"If you look at performance, sector by sector, we have performed better. Whether it is agriculture, we have done better. Whether it is industry, we have done better," Dr. Bawumia asserted, listing areas where he said the NPP has built more infrastructure than the NDC.
"Whether it is jobs, we have created 2.1 million jobs. It is still not enough, but that is more than any government in the Fourth Republic," he said.

He also highlighted sectors such as roads, railways, hospitals, interchanges, schools, classrooms, and sports facilities.
After naming these sectors, Dr. Bawumia dared the NDC and John Mahama to challenge him with data in any area where they believe the NDC outperformed the NPP.
"There is not a single area that you can point to where you will say this government has not performed better than the previous one. And I challenge them because I am a man of data. I speak only with data," he declared.
"When I say we have done better, I have the data to support it. This is why the former president doesn’t want to debate me—because he knows he doesn’t have the data."
"He can make statements on political platforms where nobody will challenge him, but he cannot make them in front of me. He cannot."
