The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced to the general public that its 2024 Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, will file his presidential nomination at the Electoral Commission headquarters on Monday, September 9, 2024.
According to a press release by the NPP General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, Dr Bawumia, who is also the Vice President and party leader, will be accompanied by his running mate, Hon. Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, as well as the party’s National Chairman, General Secretary, the Majority Leader in Parliament, and a few other party leaders.
“After filing his presidential nomination, the Presidential Candidate will address party sympathizers and the general public at the party’s National Headquarters at 9:00 a.m.”
The statement further invited party members and the general public to be part of this historic moment, marking a new chapter of possibilities for Ghana.
The NPP's announcement comes shortly after the National Democratic Congress (NDC) also announced that its flagbearer John Mahama, will file his nomination on Monday, September 9, at 2:00pm.
