President Akufo-Addo has officially signed into law the Affirmative Action Gender Equity Bill 2024.
The Act will among other things ensure that a critical number of women hold key positions in governance, public life, and decision-making spaces, thereby improving the lives of women in the country.
Additionally, it seeks to promote gender equity across both public and private sectors.
The Minister of Gender, Children, and Social Protection, Dakoa Newman, announced this development in a post on X on Thursday.
