Golden Bean Hotel, a prominent hospitality establishment located in the heart of Kumasi, has been recognized as the best 3-star hotel in the Ashanti Region at the just-ended 2024 Ashanti Regional Tourism Awards.
The event, organized last Friday, 20th September 2024 by the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), was held under the theme: "Celebrating Innovation and Recognizing Excellence in Ghana’s Tourism Sector."
The Ashanti Regional Tourism Awards serve as a platform to celebrate and acknowledge outstanding individuals and organizations that demonstrate excellence in the tourism industry, aiming to bolster the sector’s growth and resilience. The recognition of Golden Bean Hotel highlights its impressive contribution to hospitality in the region.
The citation that accompanied the award lauded the hotel for its cozy atmosphere, exceptional guest facilities, and personalized services that attract both local and international guests.
From its modest beginnings in 2014 with just 8 rooms and a guesthouse, Golden Bean hotel has grown into a state-of-the-art facility, boasting 51 rooms, and noted for its high cleaning standards and best practices in Housekeeping.
The hotel's reputation for serving palatable mouth-watering cuisine and its friendly, professional staff make every stay an unforgettable experience.
Golden Bean Hotel’s commitment to excellence has not gone unnoticed, as the hotel continues to amass both domestic and international accolades. The professionalism exhibited in all its operations has been a key factor in earning these prestigious awards.
Receiving the award on behalf of the hotel, General Manager Randy Attuquaye Clottey expressed his gratitude to the Ghana Tourism Authority for encouraging excellence in the hospitality sector.
Reflecting on the hotel’s recent 10th anniversary, he noted that this recognition symbolizes a decade of success, with numerous awards already under the hotel’s belt.
Clottey emphasised that Golden Bean Hotel will not rest on its laurels but will continue to innovate and strive for even greater heights, with plans to expand and improve its services.
He dedicated the award to the hotel’s hardworking staff and loyal customers, acknowledging their crucial roles in the hotel’s success. "This award is a testament to our team’s dedication and the support of our customers and partners," Clottey remarked.
Also in attendance were other top Executives of the hotel including; Maame Ama Asantewaa Adjem, the Sales and Marketing Manager, Francisca Aba Acquah- Financial Controller, Joyce Jolicoeur- Food and Beverage Manager and Davida Korsah- Front Office Manager.
Adding to the celebration, Maame Ama Asantewaa Adjem, Sales and Marketing Manager of Golden Bean Hotel, expressed optimism about the hotel’s future. She stated that the hotel’s growing collection of awards would inspire even greater service delivery. "We are committed to meeting and exceeding our clients' expectations, ensuring that we become an example in the industry," Adjem touted.
Golden Bean Hotel remains a shining example of innovation and quality in Ghana’s hospitality industry, as it continues to push the boundaries of guest experience.
The hotel, this year celebrated its 10th Anniversary with lots of activities including a big float through the Principal street of Kumasi, a grand dinner with staff/management, customers/partners to show appreciation for their continuous support and loyalty, An Inter-departmental game, health screening and a blood donation drive for the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital blood bank and finally two bounty donations to two orphanage homes in Kumasi.
