The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for the Wenchi Constituency, Kojo Frempong, has presented medical equipment to Wenchi Methodist Hospital in the Bono region to enhance effective healthcare delivery.
The items worth over GH₵ 400,000 include 20 hospital beds, 20 mattresses, 50 oxygen nasal prongs, five three-seater link chairs, ECG machine, two defibrillator, one adult ambu bag, one patient monitor, two examination lambs, two infusion pumps, and two nebulisers, among others.

At a ceremony to hand over the items to the Wenchi Methodist Hospital, Kojo Frempong expressed gratitude to a former Director of Supply at the Ghana Health Service, Dr Addai Donkor, for facilitating the procurement of the items.
He noted that he provided the hospital beds and mattresses to solve the inadequate bed syndrome at the hospital.
He indicated that the equipment would help improve healthcare delivery at the facility.

"Today, I am here on behalf of the NPP and in my efforts to improve healthcare accessibility and delivery for the good people of the Wenchi constituency and beyond,” Mr Frempong affirmed.
He further promised to resource Subinso, Nchiraa and Tromeso polyclinics to help promote quality healthcare within the various communities.
Receiving the items on behalf of the management and staff of the hospital, the Medical Director of the Wenchi Methodist Hospital, Dr Kwaku Amponsah, said items have come at a crucial time for the facility.

He thanked Kojo Frempong for the gesture and pledged to make good use of the items for their intended purpose.
He also appealed to other benevolent individuals and organisations to emulate the gesture of the Wenchi NPP parliamentary candidate.
"The hospital needs many things, including a pediatric block that will also house the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), so more helping hands will not be bad to achieve our aim,” Dr Amponsah said.
