The campaign of Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia for president is gathering momentum with the endorsements of several traditional leaders for him to win the 2024 Presidential election.
The latest to join is the Chief of Nkwantakese in the Amenfi West Constituency of the Western Region, Nana Ntori-Bonkyi Akomea who has appealed to Ghanaians to entrust the leadership of Ghana into the hands of Vice President and NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
According to him, Dr Bawumia deserves to win the December polls to become president because he has performed creditably well as a Vice President through the excellent initiatives he’s helped the Akufo Addo-led NPP government to introduce.
Welcoming Dr Bawumia to Asankragua during his campaign tour of Amenfi West, Nana Ntori-Bonkyi Akomea described Dr Bawumia as the best Vice President ever in the history of Ghana saying "We have seen many Vice Presidents in this country but you are unique. You have done so well".
Nana Ntori-Bonkyi Akomea explained that due to the work the Vice President has done, he deserves to be elevated to the seat of the President.
"There are some mates when they are given opportunities on a Sunday to go and wash the car, they drive so recklessly in town and people see them and get so alarmed. But as for this mate, he has been a very good mate who drives the car so smoothly whenever he is given an opportunity on a Sunday to go and wash the car. So, we are confident he can drive the car very well when we give him the steer," he explained.
He also commended Dr Bawumia for his vision to restore the power of traditional authorities under his presidency by ensuring and promoting their participation in Ghana's development process. To them, the policy proposal has earned Dr Bawumia much respect from traditional authorities.
"This is a very good and well-thought-through policy. You have already done really well as a Vice President but this policy adds to why we have confidence in you…We are an integral part of national development, so we want to encourage you not to hesitate on this policy," Nana Ntori-Bonkyi Akomea stated.
Nana Ntori-Bonkyi Akomea commended the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration for their exceptional track record, especially in infrastructure development, and Free SHS.
He appealed to his people to reward the government by voting for Dr Bawumia and the NPP parliamentary candidate for the constituency to ensure continuous sustainable development for the community and Ghana at large.
