Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, also known as NAPO, expressed strong confidence that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will achieve a decisive "one-touch" victory in the upcoming 2024 elections, dismissing any likelihood of a run-off.
In an interview on Asempa FM on October 16, he emphasised that Ghanaians are fully aware of the government's achievements under President Akufo-Addo and appreciate the strides made under the administration.
Dr. Opoku Prempeh said that the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has delivered significant progress in various sectors, contributing to the nation's development.
He believes this track record will resonate with voters, solidifying their support for Dr. Bawumia as he seeks to continue the work initiated by the current government.
In addition to praising the NPP for its accomplishments, NAPO also took the opportunity to scrutinise former President John Mahama's campaign promises.
He questioned the viability and effectiveness of Mahama's policies, urging voters to consider whether they align with the needs and aspirations of Ghanaians today.
"Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will win one touch. So those pollsters who have gone to take people’s monies that there will be a run-off, they should return it because there won’t be any run-off. This election will prove to you that Ghanaians are not asleep," he stated.
