The Paramount Chief of the Peki Traditional Area, Torgbuiga Deiga Kwadzo Dei XII, has commended the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government for its development initiatives and social intervention programmes, which he believes have had a positive impact on the nation.
The chief specifically acknowledged the progress made in various sectors, including infrastructure, education, health, and social welfare.
Torgbuiga Deiga Kwadzo Dei XII expressed these sentiments during a recent visit to his palace by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP's flagbearer for the 2024 general elections.
He praised the government's efforts to address critical national challenges and highlighted how these initiatives have brought significant improvements to many communities, including his own.
In particular, the paramount chief noted that the development projects have been beneficial to the Peki Traditional Area, citing improvements in local infrastructure and access to social services.
He pointed out that these advancements have contributed to the overall well-being and progress of the region.
Addressing his people, Torgbuiga Deiga Kwadzo Dei XII urged them to adopt a pragmatic approach towards government policies.
He advised his community to carefully assess the impact of these initiatives and embrace those that align with their development goals.
The chief emphasised the importance of making informed decisions about government policies, encouraging his people to focus on initiatives that contribute to the long-term growth and prosperity of the Peki Traditional Area.
“It is my humble observation that this government has done a lot for the country. As a leader of this community, I always tell my people that Ghana is for all of us.
"Whoever is the leader of Ghana is leading all of us. So if the government brings policies, let us all look at the policies very well and see which ones benefit us, and then we pick from it," he said.
