President Nana Akufo-Addo has yet again expressed his unwavering support for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, describing him as a truthful leader dedicated to the progress of Ghana.
Speaking to residents of the Ahafo Region on Tuesday, October 29, during his regional tour, the President encouraged Ghanaians to trust Dr. Bawumia’s leadership, emphasising that he has the nation’s future at heart.
According to President Akufo-Addo, Dr. Bawumia is uniquely qualified to elevate Ghana to an advanced level, pointing to his extensive experience and commitment to addressing the country's economic challenges.
He asserted that Dr. Bawumia’s capabilities extend beyond his economic acumen, reflecting a genuine passion to see Ghana progress and thrive.
Highlighting their longstanding partnership, the President shared that he has worked closely with Dr. Bawumia since 2008, a period over which he has consistently observed his dedication and integrity.
"There is nothing negative I can say about him," President Akufo-Addo stated, noting Dr. Bawumia’s consistent loyalty and contributions to the government.
In his address, President Akufo-Addo urged the people of the Ahafo Region to support Dr. Bawumia’s vision for the country in the upcoming 2024 elections.
He expressed confidence that with a leader like Dr. Bawumia, Ghana is poised for significant advancements, and he encouraged citizens to rally behind him for the nation’s continued growth and prosperity.
"If Ghanaians want someone to attest to Dr Bawumia's qualities, I am the best person because I have worked closely with him. I know he is truthful and has Ghana's progress at heart. If you come to the Jubilee House late at night, you will only see two lights on, and these are our office lights—myself and Dr Bawumia."
