The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has sent a congratulatory message to Rocky Dawuni on his fourth Grammy nomination in the 67th Grammy Awards.
Rocky was nominated in Best Global Music Performance for his single 'Rise'.
According to MUSIGA, this recognition underscores his significant contributions to music and culture.
'Rise' as a call to action for overcoming adversity and celebrating life's victories, emphasizes unity and the potential for communities across the Black diaspora to achieve liberation and freedom through collective effort.
It is a blend of Afrobeat and highlife with contemporary hip-hop elements, creating a unique sound reflects Rocky's Ghanaian roots while appealing to a global audience.
The President of MUSIGA, Bessa Simons, in a press statement writes: "Rocky Dawuni's artistic journey continues to inspire many, and MUSIGA celebrates this remarkable achievement with him and wish him all the best.
Rocky previously served as World Ambassador for MUSIGA, a role that highlighted his commitment to promoting Ghanaian music globally."
