Asante Kotoko SC ended their five-game winless streak with a confident 2-0 victory against Aduana FC in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Stadium in Dormaa.
Patrick Asiedu gave Kotoko an early lead in the 9th minute with a sensational free-kick that left Aduana’s goalkeeper helpless.
The visitors maintained their composure to close the first half ahead before adding the second after the our mark.
Forward Albert Amoah scored the second goal by tapping in from Baba Yahaya's perfectly delivered corner to secure the victory for the Porcupines.
The result lifts Asante Kotoko to 7th place on the league standings with 18 points after 12 matches.
Up next, they will host arch-rivals Hearts of Oak in the eagerly anticipated Super Clash at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.
Aduana FC, now languishing in 14th place with just 12 points, will look to recover when they take on Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park in their next fixture.
